ARIMS™ – The Advanced Remote Initiation Management System
The Advanced Remote Initiation Management System (ARIMS)™ fuses the dynamic capabilities of the CITM™ and the RIMS™ systems together to create a fully integrated training lane simulation system. The system includes three (3) CITM’s™ and one (1) RIMS™. The system combines the vehicle and scenario control capabilities of the CITM™ with the remote management and long range initiation capabilities of the RIMS™. This configuration allows an operator to control three vehicles and up to six training enhancement systems with a single remote control and is mesh networked together along with other components of the Threat Products training system allowing for nearly unlimited operating ranges.
CITM v5™ – Convoy Immobilization Training Module
The Convoy Immobilization Training Module (CITM)™ provides users and personnel conducting training scenarios with the ability to instantly shut down a vehicle’s engine, fill passenger area w/safe smoke and produce loud detonation sound effects and a single remote control. This equipment completely removes simulations associated with vehicle down training scenarios. The operator can select one effect or all effects simultaneously from up to 500m away and are mesh networked together with other components of the Threat Products training system allowing for nearly unlimited operating ranges.
RIMS v5™ – Remote initiation Management System
The Remote Initiation Management System (RIMS)™ is a long range transmitter/receiver system that allows an operator to control up to six separate devices from a single remote control. The system consists of two Initiation Point Boxes (IPB’s) and an ARC. Each IPB has three independently controlled firing points. Each firing point can be connected to any training enhancement system (IE Blast Simulator, Small Arms Simulator, ECT.). The operator can select either 12 volts or “contact closure,” individually, at each firing point. Each IPB is mesh networked together with other components of the Threat Products training system allowing for nearly unlimited operating ranges.
Military Machine Gun SIM
The Small Arms Simulator provides realistic audio and visual machine gun simulation (120+ Decibels) for training involving incoming small arms fire. The system can be easily broken down and stored in a convenient Pelican case (provided). The system is portable, water resistant and self-contained. The system can be initiated either manually or remotely.
VIIEDS™ – Vehicle Initiated IED Simulator
VIIEDS is a surrogate (non-functioning) RHINO with no electrical connections to the vehicle. The VIIEDS looks identical to the anti-PIR “RHINO”, but lacks all internal components. The training system can be installed on a variety of military vehicles to include HMMWVs and MRAPs. Accessories may vary depending upon vehicle type. The VIIEDS is designed to familiarize deploying personnel with the challenges of operating a vehicle with RHINO system installed.
R-Link: Remote Link
The R-Link is a sophisticated IED Monitor System, specially designed by former Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians. This system allows users to use electrically functional IED Training Aids that are 100% visually accurate. This is accomplished by the R-Link micro-transmitters that have been designed to look and function very similarly to an electric blasting cap.
Simply build an electrically functional circuit and place the R-Link cap where an electric blasting cap would normally go. Now, when the circuit is closed and the cap receives power, instead of detonating, the R-Link Cap will transmit a FIRE signal to the R-Link Receiver. This allows users to create and train on electrically functional and 100% visually accurate IED training aids, monitored by any system the user desires, without the hassle and trouble of “out of play” monitor wires that can negatively affect a training scenario.
CITM Siren: CITM Siren Accessory
Each siren accessory must be compatible with the CITM and RIMS products. Each accessory must utilize a high intensity siren that adds confusion and the “ringing ear” effect to inhibit communications in an enclosed area such as a vehicle. Each siren must plug directly into the CITM accessory port or the RIMS Firing Point. Each accessory must be high quality, extremely durable product machined from aircraft grade aluminum.
CITM Strobe: CITM LED Strobe Light Accessory
Each strobe light accessory must be compatible with the CITM and RIMS products. Each accessory must utilize state of the art high intensity LEDs. The strobe light must reflect light off the smoke dispensed by the CITM to induce additional confusion and stress during a simulated IED vehicle strike. The strobe light must plug directly into the CITM accessory port or the RIMS Firing Point. The enclosure must be weather resistant and made of aircraft grade machined Aluminum.
Randomizer: Machine Gun SIM Fire Randomizer Accessory.
Each accessory must be compatible with the Military Machine Gun SIM, CITM and RIMS products. The randomizer must receive the fire signal from the RIMS/ARIMS and then must send a random burst or fire signal to the Machine Gun SIM for a set amount of time. Operators must be capable of selecting different burst intensities (short/intermittent bursts or Heavy/Nearly continuous Bursts) and different activation lengths (5 seconds to 60 seconds). The randomizer must incorporate the option for a delay between randomizer activation and Machine Gun SIM initiation.
SEDR: SEDR (Strategic Extended Deployment Repeater)
The SEDR is used to extend training operations. Each system must be compatible with the CITM and RIMS products. The system must incorporate high capacity batteries to allow operators to charge up to (3) CITMs simultaneously from “LOW” power to 100% without the need for local power. The system must be capable of deployment to remote locations on sites with large mission areas and act as a signal repeater. The system must incorporate a large battery capacity allowing the repeater to be deployed for 30 days without needing to be charged. The system must be able to retransmit signals from all components of an ARIMS package from any ARIMS set. The system must double the range of the ARIMS transmission capability.
Mesh Network – Signal Range Map
This graphic describes how our products produce a mesh network to extend the transmission range of our ARC remote to devices outside of the 500m line of sight range.

500m initial transmitter range
The ARC remote transmits to the CITM, which will perform the transmitted function (if applicable) and will transmit to the next receiver within range.
The R-Link acts as a repeater and will pass the transmission onto any other receivers in range.
The IPB is both a repeater and can activate the randomizer, which will then fire the XM-2A, despite being beyond the ARC’s 500m range.
